Top 10 lazy/chill yet badass anime characters

Sakamaki Izayoi from mondaiji tachi
Izayoi is a very unpredictable young man who likes to use his clever mind and impressive strength to solve everything and appreciates a good fight. He easily described himself as vulgar, savage and a hopeless hedonist, which makes sense as he can be fairly perverted as seen by his comments with Black Rabbit, making jokes about her body and wanting to claim her virginity. Be it a Gift Game or a simple cooking contest, such as in the side story, Lily's Big Adventure, he only participates in things that are deemed interesting to him. He enjoys challenges and will even participate in a Game with a handicap so long as it makes the Game more enjoyable.

Shikamaru Nara – Naruto

Shikamaru is naturally a lazy person and his inclination is to do as little work as possible. As an Academy student and even during his early career as a genin, Shikamaru is able to get away with this, spending his days sleeping, watching the clouds, or playing games of shōgi and Go. His goal is to live unremarkably, free of anything of noticeably good or bad, and then to die just as unremarkably as he lived. When he is faced with the potential for conflict or commitment, he responds first by saying, "how troublesome," and then by trying to find some way out of it, either by pretending to be indisposed or even outright saying that he doesn't want to do whatever it is.

Sakata Gintoki – Gintama

Gintoki has a natural perm, which causes him no end of distress. His silvery-blue hair is in a perpetually messy state, which is sometimes exaggerated into a frizzy afro when Gintoki is injured.
Gintoki is extremely lazy, and can be quite snarky. He is often seen wearing an "extremely dumb" expression on his face, and spends his days lounging around reading Jump whilst imparting wise and sage-like advice to his younger employees, even though he doesn't actually know what he's talking about most of the time. Due to his poverty and unwillingness to do (mostly) anything, he is always behind on his rent and often runs away when Otose, his landlady, comes to collect the rent. He often blows all of his savings on Pachinko and other gambling games, which Shinpachi and Kagura often scold him for. However, even though he is lazy most of the time, Gintoki is quite dedicated to his jobs, and tries to help people to the best of his ability

Spike Spiegel – Cowboy Bebop

Spike is tall and lean in appearance, he has dark messy green-tinted hair and brown eyes, which one of them is later revealed to be artificial and lighter than the other.Spike is a slothful, carefree, listless, indifferent, and lazy character. He indeed passes the vast majority of his time on the Bebop lounging, watching TV, or sleeping. In a few rare occasions, he is also seen reading or practicing Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts practice he is very skilled in, being among other things passionate of Bruce Lee films. He is a hardened smoker, shown with a battered cigarette in his mouth in practically every shot.

Ryner Lute – The Legend of the Legendary Heroes

Frequently appearing to be homeless, and unmotivated, Ryner is the main character of the story. He has brown eyes and brown hair and is of slender build; is naturally talented in magic, hand-to-hand combat, the arts of assassination, ancient lore, languages and symbols, and is a bearer of the Alpha Stigma , an ocular ability which grants him the ability to analyze various forms of magic. Alpha Stigma bearers (when activating their powers) have a pentagram with reddish hue appearing over their pupils. Because of this ability, in a world where magic forms differ from country to country and is a closely guarded secret, he has learned and acquired magic originating from different countries through battles with their mages. Although the Alpha Stigma are the weakest and most common type out of the five types of "Cursed Eyes ," primarily because the bearers don't live to adulthood to fully utilize their potential before they are slain after going berserk usually at a young age, Ryner's eyes are no ordinary Alpha Stigma unlike any before.

Mugen - Samurai Champloo

Mugen has messy brown-black hair and a faint beard. His clothing is anachronistic as well, reminiscent of baggy hip-hop fashions of today. Rude, lewd, vulgar, conceited, temperamental, and unhinged - Mugen is something of an antihero. He is fond of fighting and has a tendency to pick fights for petty reasons. In several episodes it is made clear that Mugen is a womanizer, and his libido often gets the better of him.

Roronoa Zoro - One piece

Roronoa Zoro, also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro, is a pirate and a former bounty hunter.
He was the first member to join the Straw Hat Pirates, and, to date, is considered the largest threat and most dangerous member in the crew after Luffy. His fame as a master swordsman and his great strength, along with the actions of his captain, sometimes led others to believe he was the true captain of the crew.He is one of the top three fighters in the crew alongside Luffy and Sanji, and his dream is to become the greatest swordsman in the world. Zoro is also regarded as one of twelve pirates who are referred to as the "Worst Generation"

Kazuma - Kaze no Stigma

Kazuma Yagami, formerly known as Kazuma Kannagi, is a Contractor, having entered into a contract with the Kaze no Seirei-Ou, the Wind Spirit Lord. Kazuma is an anti-hero and the most powerful protagonist for the series as well as an antagonist for a time. He is depicted as being caring and does not hesitate to protect those who are important to him. Kazuma shows his egotistic side most of the time, probably due to him being too powerful in compared with others as stated by Ayano that he had forgotten how weak he used to be after being powerful. Despite his power, he is continuously looked down upon by members of the Kannagi family due to how he is seen as a disgrace for learning wind magic rather than fire magic, which is held to be superior, even though Kazuma was able to defeat his father.

Yōji Itami - GATE

Itami lost his family at the age of fifteen when his brutally abusive father was killed by his wife in self-defense. Although she was cleared of criminal charges, her feelings of guilt and regret shattered her sanity; she began to believe that her husband was still alive and longed for his return. One night, Itami couldn't stand it anymore and brutally confronted his mother with reality; but instead of making her come to her senses, it made her attempt suicide by self-immolation. She was saved from death and placed into a mental institution, where Itami left her to languish until many years later.

Hak - Akatsuki no Yona

Hak, or Son Hak as he was known at the beginning of the story, is the former General and Chief of the Wind Tribe. He is an adopted grand son of Son Mundok, the adoptive brother of Tae-Yeon, and the childhood friend of Yona and Soo-Won. He is known throughout Kouka as the “Thunder Beast” due to his outstanding fighting skills.

Vash the stampede - Trigun
